THE STORY

THE RETREAT

Perched high above California's coastline, Ranch Wellness is a secluded luxury retreat where guests come to reconnect with nature—and themselves. Ocean views, yoga at sunrise, meditation, massage, organic cuisine, and beautifully appointed suites promise healing in an atmosphere of effortless tranquility.

Behind the scenes, however, another world exists. Upstairs, the staff works tirelessly to maintain the illusion of perfection. Downstairs, the guests chase youth, love, relevance, and reinvention. Every interaction is shaped by the invisible lines between privilege and service, wealth and resentment, confidence and insecurity.

In a place dedicated to wellness, everyone arrives hoping to become someone better. Not everyone survives the process.

THE MASKS

At Ranch Wellness, everyone presents the version of themselves they want the world to see. A celebrated actress is desperate to believe her best years are not behind her. A former star searches for one more chance. A charming bartender becomes the object of everyone's fantasies. Younger guests hide insecurity behind confidence, while older guests struggle against a culture that quietly tells them they've become invisible.

The staff wear masks of professionalism. The guests wear masks of success. Behind every carefully curated identity is someone longing to be seen, loved, or simply enough. As tensions rise, those masks begin to fall—and what remains isn't always beautiful.

What Critics are saying

"With wonderful portrayals and a well written story, Jane Clark really brings home a powerful message while staying true to the emotional story of the characters. “Meth Head” is a well told and hypnotizing film from start to finish."

DC Examiner

"There were such strong performances from all the actors, but especially Lukas Haas.  This is the first time I've seen such a multi-layered performance from him.  The role of Kyle may be the most thoroughly developed character he's played to date. I feel this is the performance of his career."

Tucson Movie Review
"...an in-depth, no-holds-barred look at the addiction destroying people all across the nation. How it’s done, the depths people go to get it and the destruction it leaves in its wake are all shown in hauntingly graphic detail. It does way more than a pamphlet with graphic photos could ever do to stop addiction."
Philadelphia Edge
“Haas repeatedly demonstrates an ability to convey, mostly non-verbally, internal strife, disappointment, and bewilderment all too common in typical addicts…this film is probably the best thing we have to date in terms of an accurate, and human, account of crystal methamphetamine use as it exists today.”
Philadelphia Weekly

Intriguing, provocative, and harsh, Meth Head is an A + effort in showcasing a fledgling lifestyle."

Horror Movies Uncut

“Clark's compassionate writing, her nonjudgemental approach to her characters, is one of the reasons Meth Head is so rewarding to watch.”

Diana Rogers Movie Blog

“Haas is shattering in a portrayal of self-destruction…He is Oscar Nomination-worthy and it’s among the best addiction performances ever put to film…And Clark shows masterful control of her volatile material.
